ツミ 2023 [ II ]：巣材の枝運び

Japanese Sparrowhawk making the nest

Japanese Sparrowhawk male and female had been breaking branches and bring them to the nest under construction. Looked so busy, we hope their breeding successfully.

小さな林に射し込む早朝の光、そんな中 ♀♂せっせと巣材(折った枝)運びです。巣も完成間近の様でした。

We like to shot pics birds of prey flying like these. Photographic equipment of late years makes that easier. So good.

この後♀の動きが静まると次の段階に。でもここでの撮影はこの二回で終わりです。今年は繁殖が上手く行きます様に。

ツミ 2023 [ I ]：東京の猛禽 ♀♂飛翔

Japanese Sparrowhawk 2023

Japanese Sparrowhawk is the summer migrant in TOKYO also able to investigate at urban centers like 23 wards.

今年もツミがやって来ました。2020-2022は観察のみ、撮影するのは4年ぶりですね。

Small and agile predator, that's Japanese Sparrowhawk.

今年も新規エリアを見つけましたがそちらは調査中、どうなる事でしょう。
次回は巣材運びの飛びモノの予定です。

桜カワセミ [ II ]：桜花片の水面飛翔と求愛給餌

Common Kingfisher in the spring of Japan

Cherry blossoms are falling in TOKYO and that petals are floating on the surface of stream. Such a season Common Kingfishers are very energetic, cuz in breeding.

一度撮りたいと思っていたシーンに出会えました。次のシーズンは花筏でw

そしてここは営巣も成功しそうです。

桜カワセミ [ I ]：2023 菜の花をバックに

Pink, Yellow, Green, and Blue like this is the spring color in Japan we love. Having said that, not easy to watch or photograph them all at the same time. Especially Common Kingfisher blue. We were in luck!!

三年ぶりのカワセミ撮影は、手持ちのズームでぶらりご近所へ。少し満開は過ぎていましたが、何とか間に合いました。

私たちしかいないのでカワセミさんは 'まったりモード'。背景の菜の花や桜の前ボケを変えたりと ゆっくり撮らせてもらえました。

It doesn't occur very often that kingfisher perched on the cherry branch in full bloom even in Japan.

クマタカの青空

Mountain Hawk-eagle of JAPAN Feb. 2023

Mountain Hawk-eagle, we like. Especially black face and wide wings are so cool!
There is the high altitude place in photos sometimes MHE appears at close quarters and very cold deep blue sky by Siberian high in February. Not bad, however, for us even just waiting!

北の冷たく澄んだ空気で雲一つない青空、旋回したクマタカと目が合った(写真下)と思ったら 何故かこちらへ向かって来ました。
そのまま私たちの頭上を通過。写真は空抜けですが、状況的には最高の気分でした。
