一月のオジロワシとオオワシ：2018年

Steller's sea eagle and White-tailed eagle of HOKKAIDO Japan.

We don't recommend photographing big sea eagles in january of Japan. Because no ice floe (drift ice) no excursion boat. Eagles will be gathered around the fishes for feeding them. The sea eagle season will come together with ice floe next month.

一月中旬の海ワシは撮影には適しません。ポツポツとまっていますが、それだけですね。もちろん流氷はありませんし観光船も出ません。カメラマンもいません。(笑)　諦めかけていた時になんとか活性がある一ヶ所に出会えました。

Fortunately we found the spot they were in activity. The fishes for feeding the sea eagles were in there by a certain system. Yes! just a luck!

今回は地元漁師さんお二人とゆっくり話す時間がありました。ご厚意で敷地内から撮らせていただけたので助かりました。

kokotonMAMAは早々に漁師小屋へ呼んでもらい、デンマークのお友達と"鮭とば"や"宗八カレイ"を羅臼特産の昆布茶でいただきヌクヌクしてました。ヾ＾＾;

ご近所カワセミ：光る水しぶき

Kingfisher making splashes of water

Water splashes against the sun by a kingfisher flying out from the pond is so beautiful. It's so sparklingly and shiningly! I aimed for photographing such a scene.

カワセミさんが飛び込むと、水しぶきが冬の斜光で綺麗でした。

逆光が弱いとカワセミの色は救われますが、水しぶきの輝きは今ひとつですね。

The photographing material of our time, camera and lens, has made remarkable progress and good enough to photograph like these scenes. Might be awesome captures if had been taken 20 years ago ;)

小雪舞うコミミズク：2018年

Short-eared Owl in a light snowfall

Short-eared Owl had already come in Japan as winter migratory. They come from the North-East Asia to the northern Japan every year. And migrating southward gradually. Now here comes SEOs!

コミミの季節がまたやってきました。雪が舞い沈んだ色の中を飛んでくれるのは嬉しい時間です。

Flying in a light snowfall, it's a beautiful scenery and I like it.

似たり寄ったりの写真になってしまいますが、このところ視野の狭い撮影ばかりだったので気持ち良かったです。

ご近所オオタカ：東京の撮影地は増えているのかも

Northern Goshawk Immature

Once Northern Goshawk of Japan had been a endangered species. After that, the situation was improved and to a "least concern" of IUCN Red List in 2006.

ご近所公園シリーズ第二弾w　若とはいえ、ここでオオタカを撮ったのは初めてでした。近隣先輩は、この数日前に成鳥がハトを掴んだ凄い写真を撮っていらっしゃいます。いるんですねぇ、行かないから撮れないだけ?!

This hawk photographed in a certain park of Tokyo metropolitan is a immature. We can watch adults and immatures of them in other urban parks too.

一瞬の水浴びの後、低い梅の木の中に入りました。

この姿から一気に飛び上がって上の枝のカラスに襲いかかります。飛び出しは全部フレームアウト、下手ですねぇ。

閑古鳥が鳴く公園。おかげで一人静かに寄れました。ご近所でオオタカが撮れたという証拠写真で… ＾＾;

ご近所カワセミ：狩りモード

Common Kingfisher in a neighborhood

Common Kingfisher in the park nearly from my house in 10min likes this pond because just a hunting-ground. Of course it is not always being here.

歩いて10分ちょっとの公園カワセミです。なぜか誰もいないのでゆっくりできます。ご近所でノンビリ撮影も悪くないですね。

この子は餌場にしている様でよく飛び込みます。氷が張る前にチャレンジしましょうか。ヾ＾＾;

We can spot them easily in high-visibility woods of winter. Kingfisher's blue makes themselves so conspicuous.
